Dark green ed papers, a very nice tight and clean copy.Narrow gauge lines have always attracted the attention and affection of those interested in railways. The greatest concentration of these line in the British Isles was in Ireland where between the 1870's and the first decade of the twentieth century, a large network was constructed, consisting of 537 route miles of 3ft. gauge track. Many of these lines were in remote and scenically spectacular parts of the country. This book will form a comprehensive pictorial history of these fascinating lines.Over 250 monochrome photographs some dating back to the nineteenth century are used to portray the various systems, their locomotives and rolling stock.
